Introduction FlyerThe CompanyMission and ObjectivesESG Environmental Social GovernanceReference DocumentsHistory of EBA CLEARING Environment-friendly office operations Sustainability As a company, we want to contribute to the health and longevity of our planet. We started this journey with the goal to reduce our environmental footprint of our offices, even as we continue to grow as a company. To achieve that, we have been rethinking how we use our resources, how we can travel, and what we require from our vendors. And we have been defining and monitoring sustainability objectives. By now, environmental considerations have become an integral part of our company culture. What we do: Reducing waste: we recycle, use sustainable suppliers and have shifted to digital workflows to avoid unnecessary waste. For example, we were able to reduce our printing volume by nearly 20% between 2023 and 2024. Conserving energy and water: with smart light sensors, temperature regulation and green energy providers, we drive greater energy efficiency across our offices. Sustainable travel: by replacing flights with train rides whenever possible, we are keeping our CO₂ emissions stable despite company growth. Responsible procurement: we actively seek suppliers who share our commitment to environmental sustainability by asking them to complete our ESG questionnaire. Sustainable events: the same principles guide our events, where we minimise waste and choose sustainable suppliers. Staff engagement Our staff members have been playing a crucial role in our environmental efforts. Staff members have shared ideas for sustainable activities, volunteered with environmental organisations, and continuously supported the company on this journey. Sample: EBA Spotlight with a background picture Up to the challenge Incorporating good habits one challenge at a time Twice, colleagues across offices have participated in a team-based environmental challenge. The teams completed over 1,300 sustainability tasks such as picking up trash, buying local produce, bring their lunch in re-usable containers, switching from car to public transportation and more. The challenge turns environmental principles into manageable activities and cultivates sustainable habits. Cleaning up the city EBA CLEARING colleagues help tidy up their communities Colleagues in Paris, Brussels and Frankfurt rolled up their sleeves to clean up rivers, parks and streets as part of our volunteer activities. The teams enjoyed contributing to their local communities in a shared effort. Climate awareness workshops Colleagues explore drivers and impact of climate change Staff across the company took part in climate awareness workshops to learn about the factors contributing to climate change and the areas most affected. They also discussed practical ways for individuals and workplaces to prepare for and help reduce climate-related risk.
